zone listings Everything on this site belongs to one of twelve virtual directories, or zones. Each zone is distinguished by a unique icon and color scheme. When you click on one of the zone buttons in the navigation area at left, you will get a listing of the contents of that zone. In each zone, you are likely to find a mixture of fiction and nonfiction, poetry and images, created over many years. What unites these items is their common theme. For example, one zone contains items having do with technology, another with innocence, another with spirituality. These groupings are fairly arbitrary. Quite often a piece would fit just as well in a different zone as the one it is in. The zones are meant as a starting point for exploration, not a rigid structure imposed on the site. Each directory contains links to the individual pages within that zone. For written material, the first sentence or phrase of the text is given beneath the link. For image files, a thumbnail and the size of the full image are given instead. An information line just below the link provides the content type, date, location, and user rating of each item. Because Radiant Days has no fixed structure and will be changing as time goes on, it is possible that if you return here after a long absence, an item that you found in one zone may have moved somewhere else. For this reason, it is recommended that you bookmark an individual item if you want to find it again. Each item has a unique URL that will not change, no matter where it may be in the virtual structure of the site. For this reason, too, if you wish to link to a specific item within Radiant Days, please link to the individual page rather than to its zone listing. [main page]
