her lower half
On her way to Baltimore, Micki accidentally stepped off the train as it was moving between stations. She fell to the tracks and was sliced in two by the wheels. Her two halves pulled themselves to safety, but now they were on opposite sides of the train. Micki, who had been tall, was now two very short people, one of which had to walk on its hands because it was missing its trunk and legs, while the other was nothing but a lower half which experienced life through her genitals.
Micki was trying to remember if she ever had a brain. "I think I had one before the accident, but I haven't seen it in quite a while. I don't keep track of things well. It's nice out here." She was standing on a streetcorner in Long Island City with a short skirt and no stockings. She smoked a cigarette to pass the time.
Before long some guys from a construction crew came along in a car. They were passing a bottle in the back seat. Jacob's hair brushed Sean's bare shoulder. "I used to be a faggot once," Jacob confessed. As an afterthought he sneered, "Still am. Wanna make it with me?" He took a swallow from the bottle and passed it to Sean.
Sean looked at the bottle and then raised it to his lips. The air inside the car was making him sweat. The car stopped at the corner and the motor chugged listlessly. Ray, who shaved the back of his neck, sat in the passenger seat talking to someone on the street. It was Micki's lower half.
"Hey, let's get moving," Sean yelled to the driver, but the driver only sat there with his head held perfectly straight on his neck, as if it were a post of wood. Jacob gently fingered the driver's neck, and with a single reflexive motion the driver spun around and punched Sean in the nose. Jacob held his hand to his mouth and giggled. Sean was bleeding and spitting blood. "What are you laughing at?" he snarled accusingly. "What are you trying to prove, anyway?"
