"The desert's in my lungs, it's sifted through my skin, it's clogging my throat, so I have to fight to breathe. I just want to push my way through the sand and stand on a rock or a road or something, but all the time I run into drifts as high as my chest that I have to stumble through, one after the other. Then finally I come to a river and bend down, curious to see if I'll be allowed to drink that water. I put my face close against the river, so I can feel it brushing my cheek, and I look into it and see that it is very clear. At that point I forget what is water and what is air, and I push my face down into the river. It surprises me that I can breathe but I can't see.
"I am glad to have these words, and feel that some day I will join a revolution."
