She was being distorted slightly, twisted out of shape through contact with his winds, his elemental forces. They were aligned incorrectly for her, forcing her into patterns with which she was not familiar. Her cheekbones jutted at odd angles and no longer balanced her face. The enclosure she made with her arms as she spoke—her favorite gesture—no longer framed her as it should.
