point of departure  paris, october 1992

What I'm looking for is an entry point, a point of departure, from which I can begin to move in spirals to explore the terrain which is my life, my knowledge of the world, the lives of my friends insofar as they have touched my own, and so on. In this way it would be possible to raise all issues, discuss the movements of History, the ethics of being human—half animal, half god—and the intervention of Destiny which is like a flash of intuition that comes from outside, with real physical consequences, leading us to believe that the world of matter—the body, the universe—and the world of ideas are more or less the same thing; that Nature speaks to us in precise terms concerning our lives, our education, the tasks we must master.
