Summertime
I was in Ain Kensara, a village about 20 km outside of Fez, with Youssef and his brother Mohamed. That’s them in the first picture. Youssef started this year as an English teacher at a middle school in Taounate. Mohamed is a poet-gendarme. The others are their friends Fouad and Moustafa from the village, and some guys who came to the river for a picnic, who invited us to share their wine and watermelon. The river floods every afternoon when they let off water from the nearby dam. It’s a great place to cool off.
